Loved this. Cackled throughout 😂

It was a running joke between me and my friend how ultimate success is measured by how often and nonchalantly one could buy blueberries. This essay was a reminder that it's not just us who believes so XD

Abhishek Singh's avatar

wow. more people believing that buying blueberry/avocado is a mark of success. wohoo

Avocado deserves every insult you've thrown at it. It indeed is a privileged prick. And this is the most unhinged financial planning I've read all month.

Abhishek Singh's avatar

Haha. Thank you Sid! Happy to have more people on the avocado-is-a-facade bandwagon.

And I'm closely watching the results of my intricate financial planning. I'll launch a full blown course soon 😂

Abhishek, you have turned buying blueberries into an entire hero’s journey and I was hooked!!

Abhishek Singh's avatar

Thank you Simran. Feels good to know that you enjoyed the essay!

I thought the next would be 'matcha' or airfryer or swiss cheese discovery review...I avoided Avocado on the basis of your advice ..now blueberry looks interesting...eagerly waiting for dragonfruit review 😁 putting them on my bucketlist....hoping to try them with adult money soon ...

Keeping all that outside...I loved how dramatic the decisionmaking and arrival of the exquisite item was (I may be cancelled for using the name as I am still not in the VIP list) ...Your daughter is lucky to have a VIP parent ...😄

you're taking my words too seriously. you should try Avocado once and then if you don't like it, more than happy to crib about it together xP

thank you for the kind words. I had so much fun writing this :)

Ha ha! I will definitely try it someday 😁 (the day my life becomes so tasteful so that I need to balance it out with avocado ) It was more fun and dramatic to read !!

Abhishek Singh's avatar

wait till you join a PG course xP

Waiting for that day 🫠

After reading this, all I have to say is: avocado > blueberries.

Abhishek Singh's avatar

stop talking like a Britisher who thinks their cuisine is most flavourful

🆅🅴🆁🅰 🆅🅾🆂's avatar

Oh, no. I have no love for British food, but I do for avocado!! 🥑

Abhishek Singh's avatar

don't call it a fruit and I am okay

🆅🅴🆁🅰 🆅🅾🆂's avatar

It’s not a fruit, but it is one of life’s greatest joys!

Abhishek Singh's avatar

I can live with that :)

Every single time I have bought a blueberry pack, i only eat a few and then i forget about it until i realise it’s gone rotten. Bad memories. But great post - i was wondering this post would make for such a fun animated video essay

And friendly advice, dragonfruit ranks in the top 3 worst fruits in terms of taste in my opinion

Abhishek Singh's avatar

I've tasted dragon fruit and I can attest that it is all but taste. It is like someone saying bhaiya halka metha rakhna. why!

and thank you for reading this. I too think my essays would make for great animated videos :D

thank you! and I prefer gifs if they are relatable.

though I'll try to add a few image memes in next set of articles. I used to do it but then switched to gifs

After Dragonfruit, Persimmon 🦦

Abhishek Singh's avatar

what in the exotic fruit world is this?

Namrata Gohain's avatar

Orange and Tangerine ka door ka fancy high-maintenance cousin.

This was hilarious 🤣🤣.

I'm heading out for groceries and wife just handed over the list to me. I see blueberries on it. I think, I need to see my therapist first 😅

Abhishek Singh's avatar

bhai with all due respect, living in the US and aiming for Blueberries is like earning hard to eat Dushehri aam in UP. You should aim for authentic roasted lotus seeds (Makahne) xP

This was so fun to read, you know I gave up on blueberries the moment I found out guavas have 20 times more vitamin c than them and even the most avg. orange would probably beat them, I was so hocked bcs all the hype around those berries made me believe their nutritional value was gifted, and the second that myth disappeared, I went around telling everyone about it, only for people to say they love the aesthetics of blueberries anyway, so yeah, at this point it feels nothing more than a marketing scam, but yeah, everyone should get obsessed with them at least once before eventually getting over it, and despite everything, the jam is absolutely to die for, I don't even add sugar to it, also sorry I'm writing all this with zero context, your hustle filled writing just made me so nostalgic bcs it reminded me of myself passionately explaining to my mother how blueberries were the epitome of health until I learned what I know now, keep writing!!

Abhishek Singh's avatar

in all the honesty of the world, whatever grows locally in an environment is the best for the people living them. rest all is just marketing jhamela at its finest!

whatever you've mentioned is so true. most people will only believe the hype around such fruits and will not look into the nutritional value of what we already have.

although tasting them just to discard those marketing gimmicks is fun.

thank you for reading this :)
